Dan Tyminski Virginia State Fair

7:35 PM 9:00 PM

Opening for The Dan Tyminski Band at The State Fair of Virginia.

A band of Brothers, literally. Justin and Stephen Peery’s harmonic blend leave no question that music and singing runs in the Family. From a young age Justin stood stage side and watch his father and uncles perform as the Country Music group Mountain Thunder, of which Stephen also played the keys. Many years later, it’s their turn. Gentlemen South encompasses both Justin and Stephen’s unique Lyrical and Musical styles that produces their unforgettable music. Not to mention they are natural born entertainers.

Coming from Gospel backgrounds where both brothers grew up in Southern Churches mixed with a little country from the soul, and a dash of The Blues, its the recipe for what becomes Gentlemen South. Paired that with their talent stacked full band and back up vocals including their Dad and hang on for one heck of a show.

Currently the Duo is in the Studio working on their first major project with some amazing original songs that come from the heart. Its songs that we all can relate to and that’s why we believe you will gravitate to Gentlemen South as much as The Virginia Opry has since their induction in 2019.

Kentucky Headhunters The Virginia Opry

Nashville has hardly been the same since the Kentucky Headhunters took it by storm in 1990. A country act–in the loosest sense of the term–the Headhunters’ hard-driving music ranges far afield into boogie, old-style rock ‘n roll, and white-boy electric guitar blues. The result is as rowdy and woolly as the singers themselves–a guitar-charged stomping sound variously described as “psycha-billy” and “hillbilly speed metal”.
